I just bought a new love seat, and this is its true story…

We have this awesome big
screen TV (see my previous post about this glorious creation).  But we have to watch it from an amazingly uncomfortable love seat (that you literally
fall off of when you sit on it).   This has been bugging me for a while
because I could not
see when I’d be making this kind of purchase.

And yet, I held the vision of a very comfy couch when I sat in
the old one.  After a few days of focus on this, my vision turned into a recliner couch because
that’s even more comfy.  And then, I realized I wanted a love seat,
just for me and my hubby.  Not to entertain people (this is downstairs),
not even thinking that our son might want to sit with us later one
when he’s too big to fit between us.  Just a love seat for me and my
sweetie.

So last weekend, a furniture store was having a big sale.  Of all the
times I have been in that store, I have only once seen something I
liked.  But the sale was: No money down, no fees for 1 year and free
delivery.  And I thoughts: Heck, I might not have the money now but I
KNOW I will have the money within a year since my business is growing exponentially.  So I
convinced my hubby to come with me to the store.  Maybe we’ll buy or
maybe not.

Now we both hate sales people.  But as we walked in, no one offered to
help us.  We were delighted.   Then we saw this couch.  The very first
time I have ever heard my hubby say "I like this piece of furniture"
AND it was comfy.  I was blown away.  As we looked for a sales person,
I told Bryan: Ok, we’re going to get the best one here.  The quiet type
that just gets things done.  Bryan laughed thinking I was dreaming (and
so I was).  But we ended up with an old guy who’d been around the
block.  It took 20 minutes to get credit approval, set delivery date
and it all happened with less than 10 sentences.  Delivery was sent for
April 11.

I got a call today from my sales guy.  He said: Well, I don’t know what
the heck is going on but I see your love seat ready for delivery.  You
guys just saved 45 days!  How about Saturday?

So this Saturday I will have a new recliner love seat, for which I will
have paid nothing, that both my hubby and I love and was bought with a
quick sale.  Oh did I mention that as the guy was doing our bill, he
said: Hey, this model is on sale!  10% off!. 

True story that when
there’s a will, there’s a way.  Postponing fun and well-being
is not the solution.  When we choose to have what we want right now and let
Universe take care of it for us, anything is possible.
