Learn how to be “taken care of” from the best!
For a lot of us, including me, it can be difficult to allow other people to take care of us. In my case, I am typically in the care giver position and it has become a habit. I had to learn, step by step, to let others take care of me as well.
Which is why I am always so impressed by people who are naturally good at this. My son, Etienne, is 4 years old. He has been in home childcare for 2 years with someone we adore. Today she told me that she’s leaving the day care scene…but that she’s considering nannying for Etienne! She’d take him to daytime karate classes (which I have been feeling he wants for months), to the bookstore for story time and to our local children’s museum for fun with large groups of kids. We’re even talking about doing this when Etienne starts kindergarten (which is part time ).
I am in total awe at his ability to elicit such care giving manifestations! Kids sure know their stuff!
