Following your Intuition: It’s never a straight shot
When I look back on my earlier experiences with Intuition, it seems that I made every mistake in the book (although that book wasn’t written when I was going through this…). I wanted an clear answer, and I wanted it now. And, if I had kept that course, I’d still be waiting today!
Fortunately, the universe is more stubborn than me. And Intuition is a process that can’t be rushed…But it was painful back then to keep pushing on my skills, just so I could see EVERYTHING that was going on. A partial answer wasn’t gonna cut it. I wanted to see the "whole path".
The problem with that, as I discover when I unfortunately got my wish, is that it’s totally overwhelming. I remember seeing an episode of Joan of Arcadia on TV where she’s yelling at God for providing her only glimpses of what’s going on. Until one day, she gets to see everything…and she passed out.
If we did get to see every step of the way, it would not only be boring but also discouraging. Like going to school on your first day and the teacher says: "In the next 15 years, you’ll read 2168 books. This is number 1". Phew…Makes you want to go home and curl up in a ball. But if the teacher says :"Today we’re learning about the letter A, here’s your book", that feel much more manageable!
Intuition works just like that. Once you’re clear about what you want from it, your Intuition is happy to hand over the next steps….as long as you’re ok with getting only that. If you get all upset and try to rush it, you’ll get the kind of garbles you hear when you fast forward a tape.
When using Intuition, slowly but surely is the way to go…Until you reach critical mass and you get a downpour of everything you ever wanted to know!
